What is English club?

English club is a small group of people who want to improve their English. The sessions provide
some language teaching, English practice activities, and a chance to socialise with others in English.

Who is English club for?

English club is for people living in South Birmingham whose first language is not English.
Current members of English club come from a variety of countries. Their level of English ranges
between elementary to intermediate.

When and where does English club meet?

English club meets on a Thursday morning at 10am. The session lasts for 1 hour.
We currently meet online using Zoom.

What happens at English club?

The sessions are quite informal. We talk about different subjects, play games, and complete
activities to help you practice English.

How much does it cost?

English club is free of charge.
Who runs English club?
English club is a project run by Grace Church Stirchley.
There are two teachers at English Club.
Heather is currently training as an English teacher. She has two children at Cotteridge school.
Stu used to teach Modern Languages in schools and now works for Grace Church.
Although English Club is run by a church, it is not a religious group. There is no religious teaching or discussion.
